Wayne Hotel’s Old Fashioned Christmas 2015

Wayne Hotel's Old Fashioned Christmas

Friday, December 4 – Saturday, December 5, 2015

The iconic Wayne Hotel is thrilled to invite you and your little ones to join them in celebrating Christmas in Wayne during Wayne Hotel’s Old Fashioned Christmas! This festive family event, presented by the Wayne Business Association, is a two-day celebration that begins Friday evening, December 4th at 5:30pm with caroling on North Wayne Avenue, Face Painting & Ornament Decorating at Radnor Fire House, and Horse Drawn Carriage Rides on South Wayne and Runnymede Avenues. Friday’s events culminate with the countdown to the Christmas Tree Lighting at the Wayne Train Station at 7:30pm, led by 6ABC Action News Reporter, Vernon Odom. Merchants in Wayne will have extended shopping hours until 8 pm on Friday evening.

The festivities continue on Saturday morning, December 5th at 10:00am with a Santa Parade featuring the Radnor High School Marching Band & Cheerleaders and Valley Forge Military Academy Field Music Group. Santa will make his way down Lancaster Avenue on a fire truck to the Veranda of the Wayne Hotel, where children are invited to sit with Santa until 11:30am while enjoying fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate, compliments of Paramour at the Wayne Hotel.

The holiday season is also a time to give back, and during Santa’s stay, the Wayne Hotel will be collecting gifts to benefit Toys for Tots. Guests may place new, unwrapped toys in the drop boxes on the Veranda at the Wayne Hotel through Monday, December 21st.

“Christmas is a perfect time to come together as a community and celebrate with good food and drink, and fun holiday events,” says David Brennan, General Manager of Wayne Hotel.
