Wayne Hotel’s Old Fashioned Christmas 2015 Recap
Family, friends and neighbors enjoyed beautiful weather over the weekend for the annual Wayne Hotel’s Old Fashioned Christmas celebrations presented by the Wayne Business Association.
Friday Night Tree Lighting:
Kids gathered for face painting and ornament decorating, while the Radnor High School’s choir filled the Radnor Fire House with lively Christmas carols. Excitement around Wayne grew as the town clock ticked, approaching 7:30pm, while everyone made their way to the tree by the train station for the annual tree lighting ceremony. The countdown was about to begin, but not before Santa rode down North Wayne Avenue on a fire truck to let the all the kids know he had arrived and was looking forward to seeing them on Saturday morning at the Wayne Hotel. Radnor High School’s choir and cheerleaders gave rise to merriment as Vernon Odom, 6ABC Action News Reporter, and Chris Todd, Owner of Christopher’s and President of the Wayne Business Association, led the countdown. 5…4…3…2…1: faces glisten with delight!
Saturday Parade and Santa Visit:
A jolly Santa made his way through town on the fire truck Saturday morning in the annual Santa Parade led by the Radnor High School Marching Band & Cheerleaders and Valley Forge Military Academy Field Music Group. Excited boys and girls waited on the Veranda of the Wayne Hotel where homemade cookies and hot chocolate, compliments of Paramour, were enjoyed by all.
It certainly looks like Christmas has arrived in the heart of Wayne
