Wayne Hotel’s Old Fashioned Christmas 2013
Friday, December 6 – Saturday, December 7
You and your little ones are invited to celebrate Christmas in Wayne during the Wayne Hotel’s Old Fashioned Christmas! This festive family event is a two-day celebration that begins Friday evening, December 6th at 5:30pm, with crafts in the Radnor Fire House, caroling by the Valley Forge Military Academy Chorale and horse-drawn carriage and trolley rides through South Wayne. Friday’s events culminate with the countdown to the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Wayne Train Station, led by 6ABC Action News Reporter Vernon Odom.
The festivities continue on Saturday morning, December 7th at 10:00am, with a Santa Parade led by the Radnor High School Marching Band & Cheerleaders and the Valley Forge Military Academy Field Music Group. Santa will make his way down Lancaster Avenue on a fire truck to the Veranda of the Wayne Hotel where children are invited to sit with Santa and enjoy fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate, compliments of Paramour.
The holiday season is also a time to give back, and during Santa’s stay, the Wayne Hotel will be collecting gifts to benefit Toys for Tots. Guests may place toys in the drop boxes on the veranda at the Wayne Hotel through December 20th.
