This August, 2013, from the pastry kitchen of Paramour at the Wayne Hotel, refreshing house-made artisanal ice cream and sorbet is the mode du jour that promises to be the perfect finish to a summer meal or an impromptu treat. Pastry Chef Amelia Dietrich is creating limited batches of ice cream and sorbet flavors that will be featured in a special menu of ice cream sundaes and dessert inspired drinks, offered in addition to the already decadent dessert menu every day in August. Guests can also get their Guilty Pleasures “to-go” and take home a mix of four featured flavors in 3 ½ oz. resealable containers for $10.
“Nothing says summer like ice cream, and I’ve always enjoyed creating fresh home-made batches with unique and playful ingredients” says Pastry Chef Amelia Dietrich.
The Guilty Pleasures tradition continues with fresh and fun flavors such as “Friends With Benefits” Corn Ice Cream, Blueberry Jam; “Up All Night” Porter Ice Cream, Rosemary Bar Nuts; “After Midnight” Chocolate Ice Cream, Ancho and Pasilla Chiles, Cinnamon or “Breakfast In Bed” Coffee Ice Cream, Pop Rocks, Chocolate, Cereal.
