Paramour at the Wayne Hotel invites you to attend an exclusive Five-Course Wine Pairing Dinner featuring Artesa, one of Napa Valley’s most exciting wineries. This intimate event will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, with dinner seating at 7:00PM. Executive Chef Drew Stark and Sommelier Steven Gullo have matched five special courses with extraordinary Artesa wines from Carneros, one of California’s premier wine growing regions located at the crossroads of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
Chef Stark and his staff at Paramour have created seductive food pairings highlighting the flavors and aromas of each individual wine, including Fluke Crudo with Grapefruit, Pickled Yuzu Vegetables and Puffed Tapioca paired with a crisp and floral 2011 Artesa Chardonnay; English Pea Risotto, Pine Nuts and Popcorn shoots matched with Artesa’s complex and elegant 2010 Pinot Noir; Scottish Salmon with Prosciutto wrapped Asparagus and Merlot Beurre Rouge paired with a bright and racy 2009 Artesa Elements Merlot and Sautéed Veal with rainbow Swiss Chard, Fingerling Potatoes and Blood Orange Foam paired with a smooth and silky 2011 Artesa Elements Cabernet Sauvignon. The dinner will close with a sweet course of Honey Semifreddo and Caramelized Banana Tart paired with Artesa’s limited release Classic Brut Sparkling Wine.
During the dinner you will have the opportunity to speak with the Chef and Sommelier about each carefully selected pairing and with Rick Roman, the Regional Vice President of Artesa. Rick will speak about the Artesa wine making philosophy and their dedication to handcrafting small lots of ultra-premium wines. Rick will also tell us about the fascinating history of Artesa, a winery owned by the Raventos family of Spain, whose winemaking history dates back to the mid sixteenth century. We are extremely excited to feature this exemplary winemaker from one of the best places on earth to grow Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Join us and see for yourself why Artesa has earned the title “Jewel of Carneros”.
Please make your reservations early because seating is limited for this unique gastronomic experience. The exclusive dinner, with the wine pairings is just $95 per person excluding tax and service charges. Call 610-977-0600 to reserve your table.
